Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

  • Yes, our schedules are carefully designed to meet the needs of both our therapists and clients. When sessions are canceled on short notice, our therapists lose access to their income during that time.

We kindly ask for a 48-hour notice from our appointment time so that we are able to offer that time slot to other clients. If you cancel with less notice than 48-hours, we charge the full rate for our session ($150-200).

  • We accept payment at the time of service in major credit cards. We are also happy to accept payment from Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts.

  • We are happy to shift our therapeutic approach to fit your unique needs. The foundation of IFS theory has shifted our worldview, which has naturally shifted the way that we interact with other people. We may still introduce some of the broader, open-ended components of parts work, however, we will do so in a way that works best for you.

  • As therapists, we are constantly in pursuit of our own personal attunement, which means regularly working with our parts. We occasionally get to experience the magic of learning more about our own parts by witnessing the growth and development of our clients; a paralleled bloom.

  • When working with people who are neurodivergent, we work to better understand how their individual neurological processes may impact their therapeutic experience. We offer specific tools and techniques that align with your individual needs. Our commitment to a person-centered therapeutic approach also means that we acknowledge how ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergent diagnoses may manifest differently in various people based on their cultural backgrounds, trauma, or family dynamics.

  • At Paralleled Bloom, we are intentional about taking very few insurance companies due to the restrictive diagnostic standards that are required to accept their funding. Foundationally, we believe that some diagnostic labels can pose as a stigmatizing hindrance in the lives of our clients and we prefer to use a person-centered approach that only uses diagnostic language as a therapeutic tool. If you want to receive compensation from your insurance company, we would be happy to discuss our out-of-network solutions, such as superbills.

  • As a practice, we are committed to increasing access to quality mental health solutions. We offer a sliding-scale option for community members who are struggling with the financial commitment of therapy. Additionally, we will help you better understand superbills and reimbursement solutions.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”, which estimates the total expected cost of receiving treatment.

About us

Alisha and Ruth met each other in the Counseling program at John Carroll University, and became fast friends after realizing their shared love of music, dancing, and laughing. We both immersed ourselves in the IFS model post-graduation and have shared our journeys of part-work since. Through our practice and friendship, we have continued to witness the transformational power of this model. We are incredibly excited to offer this therapeutic approach, rooted in compassion and curiosity, to the greater Cleveland area and beyond.
